Suicide attack kills nine in Balochistan's Chaman region

Nine people including six Afghan officials have been reportedly killed in a suicide attack that took place in Chaman region of Balochistan at the Pak-Afghan border.

According to The Dawn, Pakistan officials said that the suicide bomber blew himself while targeting the vehicle of Afghan border forces.

Afghan security officials said that Afghan border commander Akhtar Muhammad was the intended target of the suicide attack. However, the officials said that Muhammad survived the attack.

The report said that some Pakistanis were also injured in the attack and the Pak-Afghan border was immediately closed after the attack.
