At least 32 people were killed and 24 others injured after several suicide attacks targetted two security centers in the central Syrian city of Homs, according to state media citing the city's Gov. Talal Barazi.

Al-Sham Liberation Committee, which includes the jihadist group Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham, claimed responsibility of the attacks, as reported by CNN.

Six suicide bombers on Saturday carried out the attacks. Three of the attackers sneaked into the city's Ghouta neighbourhood and the other three into its Mahatta neighborhood while clashes were underway.

Gen. Hassan Daaboul, the head of Homs' military intelligence, was killed in one of the attacks, Syria's Ikhbariya state news channel reported.

On Friday, a suicide car bombing near the northern town of al-Bab, close to Syria's border with Turkey, also left many people dead.
