The long-awaited Surface Mini may get an introduction in the Surface event held by Microsoft next week.
According to a new Microsoft support page, the website suggests the name to Surface Pro 3.
Recent reports suggest that Intel would be a part of the event and that the Intel-based Surface would comprise of a new powered optimized Haswell processor.
The Surface Pro 2 was launched in October with another renewed Haswell Processor and Microsoft has diligently improved its battery life and processor in the months since, fine-tuning the tablet-as-a-PC experience, adds PCworld.
It further adds that The Haswell architecture is reserved for PC-class Core chips, such as the Core i5 processor found in the Surface Pro, Surface Pro 2 and maybe the Surface Pro 3.
Microsoft's support page slip-up makes reports more credible that numerous Surface models might be introduced in the event organized next week.
