Randeep Singh Surjewala, who has been appointed the in-charge of the Congress' media cell, on Thursday vowed to articulate the party's ideology and policies on every issues effectively.
"We assure (Congress leadership) that we shall continue to articulate party's viewpoints, party's ideology and policies on every issues effectively and shall continue to through the friends in media espouse people's causes raised by Congress party from time to time," he told the media here.
Surjewala also thanked Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party vice-president Rahul Gandhi for entrusting him this new responsibility.
"On behalf of the entire media team of All India Congress Committee I want to thank Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and the entire Congress leadership for giving me this responsibility until further arrangements are made," he said.
Surjewala has replaced Ajay Maken, who has been given charge of the Congress' Delhi unit.
