Sushil Kumar Shinde leaves for U.S. to participate in Indo-US Homeland Security dialogue

Internal Affairs Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Sunday left for the United States to participate in the Indo-US Homeland Security dialogue.

At the plenary session of the dialogue in Washington Shinde will interact with US Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano on issues including threats from terror groups like LeT and al-Qaeda, illicit financing and transnational crimes.

Both side will take stock of the existing mechanisms such as the Joint Working Group on counter terrorism.

They will also discuss challenges in cyber security, counterfeit currency and cooperation between the two nations to tackle the crimes.

Shinde will meet FBI Director Robert Mueller and US Attorney General Eric Holder during his visit.
