Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Sunday morning underwent a surgery for a lung ailment at a hospital here.
He was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital on the night of August 3.
According to reports, Shinde's daughter Praniti, a Congress MLA disclosed that it was a minor operation and was fixed earlier. She had said that there was no cause for concern.
Sushil Kumar Shinde will be shifted to the surgical intensive care unit for three days after the surgery and he is expected to be discharged after 10 days.
