External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will make statement on her recent visit to Pakistan in both houses of Parliament on December 14.

Swaraj during her two day visit to Pakistan this week, had attended the 'Heart of Asia' conference and held bilateral talks with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his adviser Sartaj Aziz.

During the visit, Swaraj and Aziz had "condemned" terrorism and "resolved" to cooperate to eliminate it.

They acknowledged the successful talks on terrorism and security-related issues in Bangkok by the NSAs of both the countries, and decided that the NSAs would continue to address all issues connected to terrorism.

However, India was assured by Pakistan of the steps being taken to expedite the early conclusion of the 2008 Mumbai trial.

Both sides, accordingly, agreed to a "Comprehensive" Bilateral Dialogue, and directed the Foreign Secretaries of their respective countries to work out the modalities and schedule of the meetings.

During her visit, Swaraj also met Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and discussed the terror threat in Afghanistan and the status of peace and reconciliation process.

Swaraj had also held bilateral meeting with her Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Javad Zarif, and Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev and discussed issues of mutual interest.
