External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will be travelling to Seoul from December 28 to December 30 to attend the eighth India-South Korea joint commission meeting during which she would focus on increased Korean participation in "Make in India".
The External Affairs Minister will meet her Korean counterpart Yun Byung-se, Korean President Park Geun-hye, Minister of National Defence, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, National Security Advisor and leading Korean industrialists.
"This is the first structured multi stake holder discussion between the Government of India and the Republic of Korea after new government formation in India," said Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin.
He added that bilateral trade will be a key subject during the visit.
"Industrialists will be invited to join 'Make in India.' Korean shipping industry is welcome to invest in India, including in the defence sector," Akbaruddin added.
