Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday said that it was absolutely incorrect to suspend 25 Congress MPs for disrupting proceedings in Parliament, and called for the withdrawal of the suspension.
"The suspension is not right, we are against it... The suspension should be withdrawn and the MPs should be called back to attend the session," Yadav told mediapersons here.
Earlier, the Congress staged a protest against suspension of its MPs in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue inside the Parliament complex.
Rahul Gandhi, who led the protest, had earlier said Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government will soon understand that truth cannot be silenced.
Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan yesterday suspended 25 Congress MPs over disruption of parliamentary proceedings under ruling 374 (A), leading to outrage from various quarters.
