In-form Australian opener David Warner has said that Australian batsmen are on the way to matching their bowlers as the best in the world.

Ahead of the Boxing Day Ashes Test against England at the MCG, Australian bowling coach Craig McDermott praised his attack as the best in Test cricket and the swashbuckling player feels the batsmen are in line for the same title.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Warner said that the Australian batting unit is well on their way to being the best in the world as they have been 'gelling' well together and working hard together in the nets, adding that they are also playing good cricket at the moment.

Warner, who is leading the charge, has scored two centuries and two half-centuries in three Tests against England this summer in a remarkable turn of fortunes after he was dropped from the side in July and the all-rounder has put his red-hot streak down to hard work and keeping a level head.
