With six more deaths reported in Rajasthan and eight in Gujarat, the swine flu toll in both the states is on the surge.
The total death toll in Rajasthan has reached around 250 and in Gujarat it stands at over 240 since last month.
As per reports, 180 new cases of swine flu were reported across Gujarat, taking the total number of cases reported till date close to 4,000.
The swine flu epidemic has led to the death of over 900 people across the country while 14,000 people have been affected by the H1N1 virus.
Swine flu is caused by H1N1 virus. Symptoms for swine flu include high fever, headache, muscle pain, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain and internal and external bleeding.
