The pro-Assad 'hacktivist' group Syrian Electronic Army (SEA), who recently attacked major news website New York Times and Twitter has reportedly warned of further attack on media companies.

The SEA has not only warned of attacks but also suggested that media companies should 'expect' them as they have 'many surprises' to come.

A spokesman for the group said that UK parliament's vote against military intervention in Syria is the right thing adding that such intervention had many consequences and will affect the whole world, BBC reports.

He further said that the group's main mission is to spread truth about Syria and what is really happening.

According to the report, the group took credit for the attack on various news websites including CNN, BBC and Guardian and the spokesman said that all the media outlets they targeted were publishing false news about the situation in Syria.

The spokesman further explained the group's attack on the NYT site and said that the goal was to deliver their anti-war message on the site but their server couldn't last for three minutes.

He further said that the attack on Twitter was because of the suspension of group's own Twitter account by the site's management, the report added.
