Islamist militants in Syria reportedly cut off a man's hand and posted the photos on Twitter in what appeared to be live-tweets of the entire episode.
The victim was punished for thievery and his hand was chopped off with a sword by a group of Syrian Islamist militants in the northern town of Maskanah, near Aleppo.
According to the Daily Mirror, an extremist group calling themselves ISIS (Islamist State in Iraq and Syria) said it was responsible and claimed the man, an alleged thief, had asked to be punished in this way.
Meanwhile, the feed was re-tweeted by several Jihadi social media channels.
