Taapsee proud to be the 'Pink girl'

Celebrating two years of her 2016 super hit 'Pink', Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu said the movie not just gave her an audience but also a sense of direction, adding that she is proud to be the 'Pink' girl.

The 31-year-old shared a throwback picture of herself on the sets of the film, with her co-stars Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang. Dressed in casual outfits, the three women can be seen striking an intense pose for the camera.

With a powerful script and backing performances, the courtroom drama social thriller received widespread critical acclaim and garnered the National Film Award for Best Film on other social issues.

 

The film was screened for the Rajasthan Police to train them to be sensitive about women's right and dignity. A special screening was also organised at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the United Nations headquarters in New York.

Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhary and written by Ritesh Shah, the flick also starred Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Piyush Mishra, and Angad Bedi.
