Pakistan tainted fast bowler Mohammad Aamer has said that he is focused on making an international comeback in the next year's Twenty20 World Cup in India.
Earlier in the year, the left-armer had received permission from the International Cricket Council (ICC) to return early to domestic cricket from his five-year ban over the infamous spot-fixing episode in a Test against England in 2010.
Aamer made a promising start in his bid to make an international comeback as he scalped a wicket on his first legitimate delivery on Monday for the Rawalpindi Rams in a Twenty20 match.
Aamer said that he enjoyed bowling in the match and picking up a wicket so early was exciting, adding that his focus was on returning for Pakistan in the World Twenty20 in India next year, Sport24 reported.
Amir was handed a five year ban for his involvement in the infamous spot fixing scandal in a Test against England at Lord's in 2010, with the five-year ban was scheduled to expire on September 2 this year.
