Banned Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Amir has vowed to make a comeback into the international cricket as a better player and better human following the ICC's decision to allow him to play in domestic matches.
Releasing a statement, the ICC earlier said that the ACSU chairperson, Sir Ronnie Flanagan had exercised his discretion to allow Amir to return to domestic cricket played under the auspices of the PCB with immediate effect.
Reflecting on the decision, Amir said that it was the biggest news of his life, adding that he was keen to return to international grounds, the Dawn reported.
The tainted bowler further said that if anyone had any problems with his return he was sure he would change views with his character and good performances, adding that his aim was to return to international cricket as a better player and better human being, the report added.
Amir was handed a five year ban for his involvement in the infamous spot fixing scandal in a Test against England at Lord's in 2010.
