The Ranchi police today raided the house of national shooter Tara Sahdev's husband Ranjit Kohli alias Rakibul Hassan.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prabhat Kumar confirmed the report, saying, "Today we have raided Ranjit Kohli's house and found 36 SIM cards of different companies, 15 mobile phones and a few mobiles boxes with phones inside them, but we want to do a detailed analysis of them. Apart from this, we also found two CPUs, one pen drive, four printers, one VIP light, two air-shooting guns and a few files and court related documents, around 20 registers and one CD of his marriage visuals."
"There were court documents of various types and from various courts. A few of them were his personal files, and there are three to four cases filed against him which are still pending and a few other documents which we are analyzing," Kumar added.
Earlier on Thursday, Sahdev's husband Ranjit Singh Kohli alias Rakibul Hassan was sent to 14 days judicial custody in Ranchi.
Kohli was arrested on Wednesday and produced before the Dwarka District Court in Delhi after Sahdev had alleged that he had forced her to convert her religion and that she had been tortured by him. Sahdev also claimed that his name is not Ranjit Singh Kohli, but Rakibul Hassan.
Kohli, however, has denied Sahdev's claims of torture and said that she had asked for Rs 15 lakh to marry him. He also refuted claims of converting her religion.
