Speaking on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to poll-bound Bihar, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Tariq Anwar on Saturday said Modi is losing his credibility in the state.

"Prime Minister is slowly losing his credibility in Bihar, like he has already in the whole nation," Anwar told ANI, pointing out that this is happening because Modi didn't get time to look after the state, despite the promises he made before Lok Sabha elections.

"He (Modi) is losing his credibility especially in Bihar because he promised before the previous Lok Sabha poll that if BJP's government is formed at the centre, the state will receive important package and important schemes and he (Modi) will try to develop Bihar, but during the 15-16 months that he got, he didn't get time to look after Bihar. This is the reason behind Bihar's people being upset with Prime Minister," he added.

"I don't think people are excited about Prime Minister's visit to Bihar and his programs. He is just visiting before the upcoming Bihar legislative assembly elections.
