Tata Motors announces April-December passenger car sales up by 18 pct

Automotive manufacturing company Tata Motors Ltd. has announced a steady growth in 2016 despite demonetisation between April and December with a registered growth in its car sales with 17.5 percent.

It projected that in the current fiscal, between April and December 2016, the growth in car sales is 17.5 percent to 1.2 lakh units over the same period last year. Industry grew by eight percent during the nine months.

The company claimed to have 5.5 percent domestic market share in passenger car segment and with the launch of SUV it aims to get greater traction in the coming months with new variants.

 

Even in the months of demonetisation, Tata Motors passenger car division has grown. In the east, the company registered healthy growth in the months of November and December, fuelled by Zest and Tiago.

The Tata Hexa is the second vehicle in impact design series after Tiago hatchback tasted success.

The company has been working on improving customer satisfaction index sincerely.
