Tawang chopper crash: Baba Ramdev pays tribute to IAF Squadron Leader S. Tiwari

Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Sunday reached Ghaziabad to pay homage to Indian Air Force (IAF) Squadron Leader Shishir Tiwari, who lost his life in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang chopper crash.

"He was a very efficient and courageous soldier of the Indian Air Force. He sacrificed his life for the nation leaving behind his family. Because of these soldiers and their sacrifice, the unity of this country is being maintained," Baba Ramdev told ANI.

Earlier on October 6, seven people died in Mi-17 V5 helicopter crash in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang.

Among the deceased, five were IAF crew members and the other two belong to the Indian Army.

 

The IAF confirmed that the incident took place at around 6 am when the helicopter was on an air maintenance mission.
