New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor smashed a double century to help his side score 510/6 at the draw of stumps on day three of the second Test against Australia here on Sunday.
Resuming at yesterdays' score of 140/2, Kane Williamson thumped a brilliant knock of 166, including 24 boundaries.
At the end of play, Taylor remained unbeaten at 235 and will resume his innings along with Mark Craig (seven) when they will come to bat on day four.
For Australia, Mitchell Starc bagged two wickets while Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Lyon and Mitchell Marsh grabbed a wicket each.
Starc also delivered his fastest spell of 160, 4 km/h to Ross Taylor in the 88th over.
Earlier, Australia posted 559 in their first innings, thanks David Warner (253) and Usman Khawaja (121).
Australia are currently leading the series 1-0 against New Zealand following their 208-run triumph in the first Test at Brisbane.
The two sides will also play first day and night Test at Adelaide from November 27.
