'Teachers directed students to stay away from me': Kanpur DPS student cries foul

A student of Delhi Public School (DPS), Kalyanpur who attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills and phenyl on Saturday, alleged that he was left isolated is school on instructions of the teachers.

The victim said that the teachers made it difficult for him to survive in school as he directed students to not talk with him.

"I joined the school two months back. No one talked to me because teacher asked them not to. Teachers and students targeted and taunted at me," student said.

"His bag was checked and he was told he has gun in his bag, so it's being done. Students were asked to stay away from him. He was depressed," victim's mother said.

 

Meanwhile, Kanpur Deputy Superintendent of Police said that case has been registered and the action will be taken based on probe.

"The case has been registered. Further action will be taken based on probe. As per suicide note he took step after four teachers tortured him," Kanpur Deputy SP said.

In his suicide note, Arsh, resident of Swaroop Nagar in Kanpur, made some serious allegations against four teachers, including school principal.

Meanwhile, the Kalyanpur student is admitted in Madhuraj Nursing Home and is in critical condition.
