A teenage student in NYC, who is the son of immigrant parents from Ghana, has received acceptance letters from all 8 Ivy League schools including Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, the University of Pennsylvania and Yale.

Kwasi Enin, 17, said that he was completely surprised because things like this just don't happen, CBS News reported.

Enin, who credits his parents for inspiring him, asserted that after receiving his last acceptance letter, he had to sit back, take it in for a second and realize that his little dream of getting into one of them became all eight.

Enin added that his biggest challenge now is choosing which school to attend.

Enin scored 2250 out of 2400 on the SATs and was also a standout for a range of extra-curricular activities.
