Defending Premier League champions Manchester United made a comeback from their worst season start in almost 25 years with a 2-1 win over Sunderland on Saturday at the Stadium of Light.

Although United trailed for 50 minutes to Craig Gardner's early goal in the 5th minute, however two goals from teenage Belgian-Albanian 'wonderkid' Adnan Januzaj inspired a second-half comeback for the Old Trafford side, saving it from facing a third consecutive league defeat since 2001.

According to Sport24, the teenager's contribution spared United manager David Moyes from further scrutiny, in the wake of consecutive defeats by Manchester City and West Bromwich Albion, and lifted the defending champions back into the top half of the table.

The report mentioned that Januzaj, who also qualifies to represent Albania, had been spared the long mid-week trip to play Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine because he is not registered in the Champions League.
