The Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ASSOCHAM) on Thursday stated that Telangana has surpassed the other states and has crossed the national average in attracting investments.
ASSOCHAM further asserted that this phenomenal growth is possible due to investor-friendly policies of the Telangana State Government.
In 2011-12 financial year, Rs 3.3 lakh crore worth investments were received by the state authorities from abroad and within the country. It went up to Rs 5.9 lakh crore in the financial year 2016-17.
ASSOCHAM's National General Secretary, D. S. Rawat and Senior Managing Committee Member Babu Lal Jain issued a press release on the summary of the study conducted by their organisation here.
Meanwhile, in the five-year duration of the investment sector, the national average growth rate is 27 percent, while it is 79 percent in Telangana, the press release stated.
