A woman from Telangana, who was allegedly abused and physically attack in Saudi Arabia, has alleged that she is being harassed by the local police to withdraw the case against the Travel agent.

Iliyaz Begum, who was sent to Saudi Arabia to work and was allegedly beaten up by her employers, filed a case against her employers who tortured and broke her legs.

A year after the case was filed, she claims that the Balapur Police are harassing her husband and forcing them to withdraw the case against Habeeb Hussain, the agent. She has also alleged that the police have also served three notices to the couple to provide them with proof of the allegations or have the case dismissed.

Speaking to ANI, she said, "The employer and wife of employer used to beat me up and torture me daily. The employer's son and his manager confined me to a room and misbehaved with me. They even tore my clothes and I fled from the room and ran to terrace. They followed me and all of a sudden they pushed me off from second floor and I was there unconscious for two hours and they asked me to say that the mistake was mine in the hospital."

She was in the hospital before being rescued by the Indian Embassy.

She added, "I have also written a letter to the Commissioner of Rachakonda, requesting for justice and strict action against the agent."

Speaking to ANI on the same, Dy. Commissioner of Police MV Rao, L.B. Nagar said, "We are verifying it. I have sent ACP Ibrahimpatnam, who is in-charge for Vanasthalipuram, for proper enquiry and we will go to that woman and verify what actually took place. The police will definitely help her and take necessary action.
