Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar on Thursday lauded Team India for their terrific cricket in the ICC World Cup but said a loss is always difficult to handle.
Tendulkar said this in a series of tweets after the Men in Blue lost against Australia in the second World Cup semi-final at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
"Well played in the ICC World Cup Team India. A tough game today and a loss is always difficult to handle. But you have played some terrific cricket throughout and all the fans have enjoyed watching you" he tweeted.
He also congratulated the Aussies for their convincing win over India.
"Congratulations to Australia for a convincing win. Steve Smith's hundred, Finch's support to him and a strong finish by Johnson made the difference," Tendulkar tweeted.
Australia beat India by 95 runs in the semi-final of the 2015 World Cup at the Sydney Cricket Ground, with Steven Smith scoring 105 for the home side.
Australia will face New Zealand in the final on Sunday in Melbourne.
