The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is all set to organize the tenth edition of Aero India exposition in Bengaluru from February 18.
The five-day-long biennial air show and aviation exhibition - Aero India 2015 - will see the participation of leading countries including U.S., Russia, France and U.K.
The fair would highlight examples of technological advancement achieved by India through international cooperation.
"Aero India is an opportunity for India to showcase their strength in the aeronautic field. We have been growing under from nowhere. In the last two-three decades, we have reached the maturity to the international level, almost closer to international level in terms of technology of aircart, helicopters and missiles, armed unmanned air vehicles," said Director-General (DG) of Aeronautical Systems, Dr K Tamilmani.
The exhibition will have 'Make in India' as its major theme and will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"I think now, today, India has reached a maturity of technology in releasing all this products but it is appropriate to be engineered depending upon the requirement of Indian defence services," said Tamilmani.

Besides Prime Minister Modi, 54 ministerial and other high-level delegations from several countries that are slated to attend the inaugural event, the exhibition will also see participation by over 600 companies, including 295 Indian and 328 foreign companies.
Meanwhile, Defence Research and Development Organisation in association with the Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI) will also organise tenth biennial Aero India International Seminar from February 16 to February18, which will be a prelude to the tenth of the Aero India Aerospace Exposition.
More than 330 foreign Armament companies including all the Global Majors are coming to this exhibition with their best arms hardware to produce in India. 270 Indian companies are also participating. There will be 72 aircrafts on display.
This year, 64 companies from the US, the lead participant, will be participating in the exhibition. Other participants fielding more than 15 companies include France (58), UK (48), Russia (41), Israel (25) and Germany (17).
All world top guns like Boeing, Air Bus, Lockheed Martin, BAE systems, Israel Aerospace and Dassault Aviation are throwing their best hardware to display. Five foreign defence ministers, six foreign military chiefs and over 60 official foreign delegates are slated to attend the event.
Around 300 CEOs from Indian and foreign industries are expected to attend the event. Business-to-business (B2B) and round-table meetings of Indian companies with those of Israel, UK and Poland will also be held at the event.
