Colourful and designer lamps made of terracotta are in high demand in Odisha.
With Diwali just a week away, lamps made of terracotta wooed buyers in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
Buyers thronged the shops for Diwali to complement decor in their houses, hotels and other venues as lighting is the most crucial part of this festoon.
Lopamudra, a buyer, said that a plate of multiple designed terracotta articles were available at affordable prices ranging from Rs. 20 rupees to Rs. 10,000.
"Earlier we used to decorate using earthen lamps and small lights but here there are so many varieties of beautifully designed lights and lamps which are so colourful that we feel like buying all of it," said Lopamudra.
