Chelsea captain John Terry has claimed that his embattled side are gradually showing signs of recovery since the arrival of interim manager Guus Hiddink at Stamford Bridge.

The defending champions remained unbeaten in their last three games as victory over Sunderland was followed by draws with Watford and Manchester United.

Reflecting on his side's performance against United, Terry hailed Chelsea's desire and work-rate and said that fans could slowly see the tide turning for his side, Sport24 reported.

Describing their current position in the league table as 'horrible', Terry insisted that Chelsea have to change things around very quickly, adding that they could climb quickly with a quick succession of wins.

Chelsea are yet to see a surge in the league standings after the sacking of Jose Mourinho and are currently 14th in the table, only three points off the relegation zone.
