The Tesla (TSLA) Model S along with Ram 1500 has been named as Consumer Reports magazine's top auto pick.
The Tesla electric car took the 'best overall' vehicle honor, while the Ram was named the top pickup truck, the first time a Chrysler model has cracked the top picks list since 1998, CBS News reported.
Other two auto companies, General Motors (GM) and Ford (F), failed to place a model in the Top Picks list.
Consumer Reports' full assessment of 2014 cars combine road test scores from its staff, safety ratings and predicted reliability ratings based on surveys of readers.
