Thailand Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha has questioned the safety of "beautiful" female tourists in bikinis, after the news of two Brits' murder on the island of Koh Tao broke out.
In a live broadcast, Chan-ocha said that there are always problems with tourist safety because they think Thailand is beautiful and is safe enough to do whatever they want, like wear bikinis and walk everywhere, the Independent reported.
No arrests have yet been made following the murder of the 24-year-old David Miller and the 23-year-old Hannah Witheridge after they attended the island's beach party.
The autopsies of the bodies revealed that Witheridge died from head wounds, while Miller drowned in the surf after suffering severe blows to the head and also had wounds on his hands.
