Thailand PM condemns Bangkok bombing as 'worst ever attack' on country

Thailand's Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha has condemned the bombing at a shrine in the capital city of Bangkok as the "worst ever attack" in the country.

According to the BBC, the attack killed at least 21 people and left scores injured.

The prime minister said that the perpetrators had not been identified but the police are investigating a suspect seen on security footage at the shrine.

The attack targeted a major tourist attraction, the Erawan Hindu shrine.

Prayuth said that the Bangkok attack was the worst incident that has ever happened in Thailand.
