Thailand government has launched a campaign in which they have urged their teenagers not to get involve in sex on Valentine's Day.
The Moral Promotion Center has started a campaign with a slogan 'Have a special meal but not sex' that will try to raise awareness of the dangers of pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, News.com.au reported.
A spokeswoman of Moral Promotion Center explained that they were trying to stop teenagers from engaging in less-than-moral activities which later leads to complications, and instead of that couples can go out for dinning and then to go home.
The Thailand authorities blame increasing trend of social media and dating applications for having world's highest teenage pregnancy rates, with 54 out of 1000 girls giving birth each year between the ages of 15 and 19, and then after they are terminated in illegal abortion clinics, which are unsanitary and unsafe.
