The Simpsons' co-creator Sam Simon has decided to give away his million dollars wealth as he enters his final days after suffering from terminal colon cancer, it has been revealed.
Simon had earlier said in a interview that Cancer was a horrible disease and he was struggling with it, it was a journey, it was a fight, it was tough but, if one want publicity and one want to pick up girls, cancer was the greatest thing in the world, News.com.au reported.
The 59-year-old American producer has partnered with groups like People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Save the Children and Feeding Families, and has donated tens of millions of dollars to worthy causes.
Simon's fortune is now being distributed to a collection of non-profit groups, including Australian based anti-whaling body the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, which named one of its ships after him in 2012.
Sam Simon co-created 'The Simpsons' alongside Matt Groening and despite quitting the show in 1993, he continues to rake in millions in royalties.
