At least thirteen policemen have been killed in a Taliban attack in Afghanistan's northern Kunduz province.
A number of Taliban insurgents attacked a police check post in the district at around 3 am, reported Khaama Press, quoting Afghan official.
Hayatullah Amiri, district administrative chief of Khan Abad district, near where the attack took place, confirmed that only one policeman escaped the battle alive.
The Taliban militants also managed to take away with themselves several military equipment, said Amiri.
According to reports, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed the attack.
On Saturday, at least nine policemen and 12 Taliban insurgents were killed in separate clashes in central Ghazni province of Afghanistan.
