A Coimbatore-based miniature artiste, Raja, has created dengue mosquitoes out of firecrackers to create awareness among people about the dangers they pose.

Speaking to ANI, Raja said, "The main idea behind designing this mosquito using firecrackers was to create awareness among people about the dangers they pose."

Raja also said that by designing these dengue mosquitoes with firecrackers, he wanted to highlight that Dengue was like a bomb.

Raja further said, "With a ban on the sale of firecrackers in Delhi, people should now realise they are polluting the environment and harming themselves by bursting crackers."

The Supreme Court on October 9 restored the ban on the sale of firecrackers till November 1, while adding that it would test the effect of the ban on the air quality after Diwali.
