Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Lok Sabha constituency, Varanasi, is full of kites with his pictures of his face on them these days as the city gears up for the Makar Sankranti festival.
The city's devotion towards Prime Minister Modi is quite visible as kites, with patterns of 'Swachch Bharat' campaign and his own photographs being seen in huge numbers in the market.
The Prime Minister is scheduled Varanasi on January 22 and thus, a great amount of curiosity can be seen ahead of his visit.
One of the kite vendors says that although there are many varieties of kites available in the market, still there is a huge demand of kites with pictures of the Prime Minister and United States President Barrack Obama inscribed on them.
It seems that 'Modi wave' which was seen during the Lok Sabha elections in 2014, will be seen in the skies of Varanasi on Makar Sankranti this time around.
The festival, which marks the transition of the Sun into the zodiac sign of Makara (Capricorn) on its celestial path, is also believed to mark the arrival of spring in the country.
