Thousands of people have started marching in the Russian capital Moscow to protest against the involvement of the country in the Ukraine conflict.
People were chanting slogans that said 'No to war' and 'stop lying', reported the BBC.
Such rallies also took place in other Russian cities like St. Petersburg.
Ukrainian government has constantly accused Russia of arming pro-Russian separatists in the eastern region of Urkaine.
However, Moscow has denied all charges against the country by Western and Ukrainian governments.
Police have taken extensive security measures in Moscow due to protests.
There were at least 5,000 protesters in the rally, said the Moscow police.
