Three killed, 30 injured in road mishap in B'desh's Gopalganj

Three people, including two from a family, were killed after a bus collided into the roadside at Bedgram in Gopalganj on Sunday.

30 people are also reported to be injured in the freak accident.

The deceased have been identified as Mohiuddin Mridha, 35, of Pirojpur and his son Rahat, 5, residents of Pirojpur district, and bus supervisor Shimul, 30, hailing from Faridpur district.

As reported in the Dhaka Tribune, Gopalganj Fire Service Inspector said, "The three died on the spot when the night coach of Gold Line Poribohon fell into the ditch as its driver lost control over the steering around 4am on Sunday."

 

The police also said the fatal bus was heading to Pirojpur from Dhaka.

The injured have been taken to Gopalganj General Hospital.
