The Tamil Nadu Assembly on Wednesday passed a unanimous resolution seeking international investigation into the alleged war crimes in Sri Lanka during its internal war.

Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa today introduced the resolution in the House in which she said, India should propose a strong resolution at the United Nations Human Rights Commission to ensure justice and to subject all those who blatantly violated international laws and the Geneva Convention to international inquiry.

The UN Human Rights Commission is meeting from September 14 to October 2 to deliberate on the UN Human Rights Commissioner's report on the alleged excesses during the war in Sri Lanka.
