Tobey Maguire, known for his famous role as Peter Parker in 'Spider-Man', is breaking up with his wife Jennifer Meyer after nine years of marriage.
In a joint statement made with his wife, the 41-year-old actor told People magazine, "After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple."
"As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship," they added.
The couple dated for four years before tying the knot in 2007. They are parents to a nine-year-old daughter Ruby Maguire and seven-year-old son Otis Maguire.
Now that Maguire is single, he would likely be leaning on his pals including magician David Blaine, actor Lukas Haas, director Harmony Korine and rapper Q-Tip.
On the other hand, the 39-year-old wife is part of quite a starry squad which includes Jennifer Aniston, Erin Foster, Sara Foster, Kate Hudson and Nicole Richie among her A-list friends.
