The one-year-old boy, who fell into a 30-feet borewell here on Saturday, was declared dead on Sunday.
The body has been fished out of the borewell after over 20 hours of rescue operation.
Medak Superintensent of Police (S.P.) Badugula Sumathi told ANI, "The body was fished out of the borewell about 6 a.m on Sunday and sent to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead."
Locals, however, said there were scratch marks on the body, adding that the boy might have died much earlier.
The child fell into the borewell at around 7:00 a.m. when his parents were away on a field for work.
A medical team along with an ambulance was rushed to the spot to carry out the rescue operation and administer oxygen into the borewell for the child to breathe.
According to reports, the residents blamed the administration for the mishap, alleging that the borewell was left uncovered since long.
