The nicest guy in Hollywood charmed the staff with his Boston accent while dining out at Pier 6, a waterfront restaurant in Boston.

The 60-year-old 'Big' star made the effort to charm staff and customers alike by showing off his version the local dialect, reports People magazine.

"His Boston accent was a perfect 10," a staff member told the magazine.

The 'Forrest Gump' favourite reportedly tucked into New England clam chowder and lamb gyros after which he made sure he lavished the staff with extra praise as he left, telling them he "loved the chowdah" in a cod Boston accent.

"He was very friendly and gracious with our staff, and a great tipper," admitted a restaurant staff.
