Tom Hanks has insisted that he doesn't like the way violence is glamourised on the big screen.

The actor told a UK publication that he isn't interested in the trend films took from early westerns into more modern movies which turned violence into a "glamorous" experience, Contactmusic reported.

He said we got into another era where it becomes the kind of glamorous it can be to fire guns and blow up buildings and stuff like that, but when he was young he wanted to see films that somehow reflected his world or the world as he understands it.
