Tom Hanks and Sting will be honored at the 37th annual Kennedy Center Honors.
The two-time Oscar-winning actor is joined by the former Police frontman and Al Green, along with comedian-actress Lily Tomlin and ballerina Patricia McBride, to receive the award, the CNN reported.
Kennedy Center Chairman David M. Rubenstein said that the awards celebrate five extraordinary individuals who have "spent their lives elevating the cultural vibrancy of our nation and the world".
The Honors Gala is scheduled for December 7.
