After no-shave November, Tom Hardy is urging people not to shave in December, 'Decembeard,' to create awareness about Bowel cancer.

The 'Mad Max' actor is urging people to "Be Brave, Don't Shave" to raise funds for a cause.

More than 40,000 people are diagnosed with Bowel caner every year, Hardy said that the Bowel cancer awareness was too low. He is backing Bowel Cancer UK because he wants to help change that, The Independent reports.

He said that it was a charity that needed people's support to save lives and by taking part in 'Decembeard,' they could make a real difference.

In the recent years, bowel cancer, which was almost taboo, has been brought into the spotlight by a couple of brave campaigners.
