Tottenham Hotspur has maintained their challenge for a top-four finish in the Premier League following their 4-0 victory over Newcastle United on Wednesday away at St. James Park.
Newcastle failed to score for the seventh time in their past eight Premier League matches as they fell to a fourth straight league defeat at home for the first time since 1987, while Spurs had an excellent two months and moved to within seven points of leaders Chelsea with this victory.
According to the BBC, Emmanuel Adebayor put the visitors ahead in the game when he tapped in the 19th minute, following which Paulinho maintained the visitor's lead 34 minutes later.
Adebayor grabbed his second goal in the game with a volley after which Nacer Chadli rounded off the scoring with a brilliant 20-yard curling shot, the report added.
