Sacked Manchester United manager David Moyes has reportedly been linked with a shock move to Tottenham Hotspur as their new manager, with current boss Tim Sherwood widely expected to depart at the end of the season.
The Scot, who was anointed by Sir Alex Ferguson as his successor at Old Trafford, was sacked after just 10 months in charge, with the Old Trafford hierarchy losing patience after a disastrous campaign.
The Mirror reports that Moyes is said to be seeking a quick return to management in a bid to restore his damaged reputation, and added that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is thought to be a keen admirer of the former Everton manager and had even considered him as a replacement for Harry Redknapp in 2012.
The report mentioned that bookmakers slashed the odds on the former United boss ending up at White Hart Lane but Spurs' top brass are concerned about his failure to secure Champions League football at both Goodison Park and United.
