Tourists from across the world converged and celebrated the Holi festival with pomp and show on Monday.

Foreign nationals in Ajmer enjoyed the festival with colourful pageantry and applied colours on each other.

They were also seen dancing to drumbeats. Tourists from places like Holland, France enjoyed the festival, which heralds the beginning of spring.

"I really like it. There were colours. It's crazy. It's very nice. I wish they had this in Holland," said a tourist from Holland, Isolder.

Meanwhile, Jaipur also erupted in a riot of colours and people played with colours and water.

"This means a lot. For me it means that spring has come. You just turn one page of the book towards a new season. Then, something important for me is the reconciliation with all your friends and the ones you have not seen for so long," said a tourist from France, Philip.

People across Rajasthan celebrate this festival by performing traditional dances and singing folk songs.
